Think of something physical that you cannot currently do today that you wish you could. It could be anything from learning how to hula hoop, dance, or run a mile under 10 minutes.
It has to be fun and something that motivates you; something that you are excited to work on each week. If you are having a hard time thinking of something it may help to think back on what you used to like to do when you were a kid. Did you do gymnastics or ice skating? Could you do a back bend or back flip?
My challenge to you is to pick your fun fitness challenge and start working on it now. Tell me what you are working on by posting your goal here in the comments. Let's keep each other motivated all year round.
I have decided to challenge myself with a handstand practice. I started last month and I am having so much fun with it. When I was a young girl I used to love doing cartwheels, round offs and handstands but when I dislocated my shoulder playing volleyball I stopped completely in fear I would hurt myself again. My shoulder is completely healed so it's time to get over my fear.
My first week I could not even push myself up right against a wall for support. I'm 5 week in and each week I get a little better. My goal is to be able to do a handstand without a wall support by the end of the year. It will be me in that picture in about 11 months :) I hope to keep you posted as I progress. More to come...
Hope to hear all about your Fun Fitness Challenge
